AT097 – Series membranes and gaskets Walbro | Vittorazi Atom 80

Here is my honest review of this rebuild kit and my follow on order of the conversion kit of the wg8 carburetor to the wb37 carburetor. I am a pretty handy guy. While not a mechanic, I have been flying airplanes for 40 years. So the gasket rebuild kit was pretty strait forward after watching a few videos. Especially concerning the two different types of diaphragms for metering fuel.
After I put everything together for my wg8 carburetor, I still had the issue of not getting full power at max throttle. I could not get fuel at high speed. With that in mind, I decided to just get the conversion kit, and not have to worry about carb ice as well.
Again, I have figured it out but having some directions would have been nice.
I have not started it yet because I broke one of the 7mm screws that held the different throttle bracket into it's position. As well the fuel line is not long enough because the fuel input is in a different location. You would think that reinstalling the carburetor may be the most time consuming, however, trying to get the old throttle bracket off was most time consuming. The bolts that hold the bracket have nuts on the other side, in order to get to those nuts I had to cut into the plastic engine shroud to be able to get a wrench in there to hold the nuts while unscrewing the bolts. Not an easy process in a very tiny space. So the bottom line is that Vittorazzi should provide a video of that process. Not rebuilding the carburetor (there are plenty of those out there) but just the disassembly and reassembly onto the motor would have been helpful. I do expect good results once I get my new bolt and new fuel line and have no major complaints about the quality of my atom 80. But everything now a days has diagrams and directions. That conversion kit should also. Thank you. Your service was fantastic.
